It seems like a scientist has to scan it with a scanbot for it to drop both for the scientist and other players that aren't one.

0nra wrote 11 years ago (in launch)Three hours seems like a ok guess. Have you tested this? I got it today after 2 hours of waiting, no idea how long it had been down for prior to it. Spawned in the middle of Softsnow Meadows (right at the white dot).

0Nimrod wrote 11 years ago (in launch)Everyone in the same group as a scientist that scans it will get their own Goldensun Essence. The mob spawns at 22:00 in-game time (use /time to check) at the northeast of the shown locations. You can apply the effect to yourself, or a targeted ally, with a 30 minute duration and a 30 minute cooldown. Effect is lost on death.

-1Ruthe wrote 11 years ago (in launch)I was camping this for 3 hours and 30minutes. And i got it finally. My method was standing inside of that death jak and kill 5 mobs around it so that players who are in quest wouldnt come close to me when the mob spawns.
